The fourth meeting of our study group was held at Brno. The cooperation between the Institute of Egyptology of the University Vienna and the Czech Institute of Egyptology of the Charles University in Prague has been enhanced since then by the Univerza na Primorske, Koper (Slovenia).
With the E&A IV meeting we decided to establish a more permanent working group between Vienna and Prague.
The Egypt and Austria meetings have already covered the general themes of cultural and political contact (2004), topics of Egyptomania (2005) and the history of Egyptology and scholarship (2006).
